Full terms and conditions
These are the full terms and conditions for Web Connect website development and management services (version 1.3). The version you agree applies to your project.
1. About us
These terms are between Ryan Vincent, trading as Web Connect, 313 Billet Rd, London E17 5PX, and the client named in your quotation. Contact: webconnect.inforv@gmail.com · 07914 658376 · WhatsApp.
2. Services & Project Scope
We provide website design, development, deployment and ongoing management to businesses (not to consumers). Services included are set out in your agreed quotation/proposal, which forms part of this agreement, and should identify: number of pages, functionality, design requirements, forms, integrations and other deliverables.
Our upfront packages include a handoff of the design files only. Functionality, form code and deployment are not included, and we host the finished site for you. Managed monthly plans include no website files, source code or handover. In all cases you do not receive access to our hosting accounts. Access to your form data account is covered in Clause 10.
Anything beyond this, including deployment to your own hosting, source code or working functionality, is only provided if set out in a separate written quotation or agreement. Work outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges (see Clause 8).
3. Pricing & Payment
Our website packages are priced as follows:
One-page website (landing page / homepage): £80.
Contact form add-on (form submissions sent to your email): additional £50.
2–3 page website: £249, including a contact form if required.
3–5 page website: from £349.
Managed monthly websites: Starter £30 per month (1–3 pages) and Business £50 per month (5–7 pages). The monthly fee includes the design and development of your website; your first monthly payment is due before development begins, as set out below.
Final price depends on the individual project and is confirmed in your quotation. Full development of your website does not begin until full payment is received (for monthly plans, this is your first monthly payment, and the subscription continues monthly after that).
4. Revisions & Client Responsibilities
Up to 3 rounds of revisions within the original scope are included before launch (e.g. text/image changes, colour or minor layout adjustments, corrections). A round is one set of change requests sent together. Further rounds are charged as a support session (see Clause 8). New pages, major redesigns, new functionality, booking/e-commerce systems, API integrations and other significant additions are quoted separately.
You are responsible for supplying accurate information, content, logos/images (with appropriate usage rights), and timely feedback. Delays on your part may affect the timeline.
5. Approval & Launch
You will normally review the website before launch. Once approved, further changes may be chargeable if outside scope. Full payment is due before development begins, so no further balance is due before launch unless additional work is agreed. We may delay launch until any outstanding agreed payments are received.
6. Hosting, Domains & Ownership
Hosting, deployment and access to your form data account (see Clause 10) are provided free of charge with upfront packages for as long as your website is live with us. If we need to end free hosting on an upfront package, we will give you at least 30 days' written notice by email. Your upfront payment covers the website design and the handoff of the design files, not the ongoing service. For managed monthly websites, hosting is part of the monthly service and continues only while the subscription is active and paid. A domain name is not included (from £10 a year). Your domain should remain registered in your own name/account, and you are responsible for its renewal.
Client content, branding and domain remain yours. Upfront packages include a handoff of the design files; we do not transfer functionality, form code, deployment or hosting accounts, and monthly plans include no files. Anything further needs a separate written agreement. Third-party assets and open-source components are subject to their own licences.
7. Third-Party Services & Advanced Development
Websites may use third-party services (hosting, domains, forms, analytics, email, APIs, payment processors, booking platforms, etc.), each with its own costs, terms, limits and availability, which we cannot guarantee.
Complex functionality (e.g. booking engines, payment integrations, databases, customer accounts, live pricing, advanced automation) may require separate quotation and/or specialist freelance development. Outsourced work will not be represented as performed directly by us.
8. Maintenance & Additional Work
A support session covers minor changes such as updating opening hours or contact information, changing text or replacing an image, updating existing service descriptions, minor content adjustments within the existing layout and small corrections. Each session is up to 30 minutes, several small related changes can be grouped into one session, and unused sessions do not carry over to the next month. Sessions are requested by email or phone. Requests are normally completed the same working day; complex requests may take longer and we will tell you.
Optional care plans are available for websites bought upfront: £29 per month for one support session, or £39 per month for two, each with general support. Care plans are not a condition of buying a website and are separate from hosting; cancelling a care plan does not take a website offline where hosting has been agreed to continue.
Managed monthly subscriptions include one support session a month on the Starter plan and two on the Business plan. Subscribers may add extra sessions at £19 per month for one session, or £29 per month for two, in addition to the included sessions. Sessions follow the same terms as above and do not carry over.
Without a plan, a minor update session is £29 (related small changes can be grouped into one session). If a request exceeds your allowance we will tell you before starting and quote the extra work; we only carry it out and charge for it once you approve.
Quoted separately: new pages beyond the package allowance, major redesigns, new booking or payment systems, custom databases, major functionality changes, new third-party integrations, extensive content creation, and work needing significant debugging or redevelopment.
9. SEO, Security & Backups
Standard projects may include basic on-page SEO; we do not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads or sales. We use reasonable security practices but cannot guarantee immunity from hacking, attacks or downtime, and third-party systems remain subject to their own security.
Where practical we maintain appropriate backups, depending on your hosting/deployment setup; recovery from every possible failure cannot be guaranteed.
10. Forms, Analytics & Compliance
Included forms are tested before launch, though email delivery can be affected by spam filters or third-party/client configuration issues.
Form data account. Every website with an enquiry form includes access to your own form-service account (currently Web3Forms), set up for your site and provided free of charge while your website is live with us. Through it you can view your enquiries as raw submission data and customise the automated replies sent to people who contact you, to the extent the form service offers these features on its plan. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for handling the enquiries and personal data in your account in line with UK data protection law. The form service has its own terms, limits and availability, which we cannot guarantee. This applies to upfront and managed monthly websites alike. Hosting access is never included: we do not give clients access to our hosting accounts or other service accounts.
Where analytics are installed, you may have privacy/cookie obligations under UK law. You remain responsible for your own legal compliance unless a separate service is agreed; we do not provide legal advice.
11. Cancellation, Subscriptions & Delays
Managed monthly subscriptions have no minimum commitment and can be cancelled at any time by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month already paid for, the site stays live until then, and managed hosting then ends. Billing is monthly by standing order: you set up the standing order on the agreed date, and payment is due on that date. It is your responsibility to pay on time. If a payment is late, you have a 7-day grace period to pay. If it remains unpaid after 7 days, a late-payment fee of £25 will be added and we will send you one written warning. You then have a further 14 days to pay. If payment is still outstanding at the end of the 14 days, your website will be taken down until the matter is resolved. Any refund is handled in line with your legal rights.
Enquiries sent through the website are emailed to your business address. After cancellation or the end of this agreement you can ask us for a copy of the text and images you supplied, provided you have paid everything due.
We may end this agreement and take your website down immediately, without notice, if you abuse or threaten us, or if your website content is unlawful or infringes the rights of others. Non-payment is dealt with only through the steps above.
If you cancel a website build before work has started, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel after work has started, we keep a fair proportion of the price for the work already completed (including any design work shown to you) and refund the remainder promptly. Substantial change requests may be treated as a new project. Where we cannot reasonably continue, we will agree to a fair resolution based on work done and payments made.
Timelines depend on your content, feedback, third-party services and technical factors outside our control; estimated timelines are provided but launch dates cannot be guaranteed.
12. Intellectual Property & Portfolio Use
Client content and branding remain yours; third-party assets and open-source components are subject to their own licences. Upfront packages include a handoff of the design files. We keep ownership of the website code and any functionality unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. We do not claim ownership of third-party materials.
Unless you request otherwise, we may display completed work in our portfolio and marketing after launch.
13. Liability & Data Protection
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for issues arising from third-party services, hosting/domain problems, inaccurate client-supplied information, external attacks, API failures, internet outages, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing here excludes liability where not permitted under UK law.
Our total liability to you for any claim, whether in contract, negligence or otherwise, is limited to the fees you paid for the service concerned in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
Personal information you provide may be processed to deliver our services; this document is not a privacy policy, and separate data-processing documentation may apply where required.
14. General
These terms may be updated for future projects; the version you agreed at engagement applies to your project.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
These terms are the whole agreement between us for the services. Any change must be agreed in writing.
You accept these terms by signing or by replying "I agree" to the email we send with your invoice. Development will not begin until this agreement (and full payment) is received.
